David Froom's Two Yeats Songs - world premiere at the Smithsonian, Feb. 15th

The Wild Swans at Coole, and Cloths of Heaven, by William Butler Yeats, in a new setting by David Froom for Soprano and Violin, will be performed February 15, 2014, by Emily Noel, soprano,
Elisabeth Adkins, violin, presented by the 21st Century Consort, McEvoy Auditorium,
Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC.

A synchronized celebration of Valentine’s Day and the SAAM exhibition
“Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art” with a complete
performance of Frederick Rzwski’s monumental setting of the iconic
Chilean protest song, The Citizens United Will Never Be Defeated,
balanced by romantic and Tango-tinged music by Oswaldo Golijov, David
Froom and Paul Schoenfield.
