Description

Composer's Note:

L’infinito was written for the New York Virtuoso Singers, Harold Rosenbaum conductor.  The poem, L’infinito, by Giacomo Leopardi is one of the most well-known poems among Italians. The opening image “Sempre caro mi fu quest ermo colle” (I have always loved this hill) presents an image of a simple bucolic country scene, and its juxtaposition with the infinite universe beyond.
