Story based on Blake; or The Huts of America: A Tale of the Mississippi Valley, the Southern United States, and Cuba, novel by Martin Delany, initially published in two parts: The first in 1859 by the Anglo-African Magazine (AAM), and the second, during the earlier part of the American Civil War, in 1861-62 by the Weekly Anglo-African Magazine (WAA).
