The Limón Dance Company celebrates its 75th Anniversary Season by sharing José Limón's inspiring life story. In two exciting programs, the company brings to The Joyce three Limón works as they have never been seen before and two world premieres, as well as modern dance classics. The dancers travel through time with a tour of Mexican history inside the thoroughly researched reimagination of Limón’s first major solo, Danzas Mexicanas, with music composed for him by Lionel Nowak, in 1939.
